Privacy Policy
How AnonSpin handles your personal information: what we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and what you can do about it. It applies to our website, apps and every related service.
In effect from Last changed
In short
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Your email, phone number and password are never shown to other people.
- Your nickname, profile photo, profile page and anything you publish publicly can be seen by others, and search engines may list it.
- After you delete or change public content, search results can take a while to catch up.
- You can ask to see, fix, export or delete your data by writing to [email protected].
Who this covers
This policy applies to everyone who uses AnonSpin: our website, our mobile apps and any related service we run. We want to be clear and open about how your personal information is handled, so this page covers:
- what information we collect and how we get it;
- how we use, store and protect it;
- when and why we share it;
- which parts of your information other people can see;
- the rights and choices you have over your data.
Using AnonSpin means you have read and understood this policy. If you do not agree with how we handle information, please stop using the service.
What we collect
We collect information so we can run the service, improve it and make it work better for you. It comes from three places.
Information you give us
- Account details. If you create an account: your email address, username, display name and password, plus anything optional you add to your profile, such as a photo, bio, date of birth or gender.
- Things you create. Videos, photos, posts, articles, comments, messages and anything else you publish or share.
- Things you tell us. Messages to other people, support requests and feedback.
- Payments. If you buy something, billing and transaction details. Payments are processed by third-party providers, and we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Device: device type, operating system, browser, unique device identifiers and mobile network details.
- Usage: pages you visit, features you use, what you interact with, how long you stay and the page that sent you to us.
- Location: an approximate location from your IP address, or a more precise one from your device if you allow it.
- Logs: server records of your IP address, access times and system activity.
Information from other services
- Sign-in services. If you log in with a third-party account such as Google or Apple, that service may share your name, email address and profile picture with us.
- Analytics partners. We may receive combined or anonymised statistics that help us understand how the service is used.
Who can see what
AnonSpin is a social service, so some of what you share is meant to be seen. Here is what other people can see and what stays with us.
Shown on your profile and next to anything you post.
Shown on your profile and beside your posts and comments.
Reachable at its own address, and search engines may list it.
Visible to everyone when you publish them publicly; may appear in search results.
Open to anyone and may be listed by search engines.
Shown next to the content you commented on.
Never shown to other people. Used to verify your account and contact you.
Never shown to other people. Used for account security, if you add one.
Stored encrypted. Nobody can see it, our staff included.
Think before you publish something publicly. Once it is out, others can view and share it, and search engines can list it. You can delete your content at any time, but cached copies may stay in search results or on other services for a while.
How we use it
- To run the service: operate AnonSpin, process transactions and deliver the features you ask for.
- To personalise it: tailor content recommendations, match suggestions and your interface preferences.
- To talk to you: send service notices, answer your questions and provide support.
- To keep people safe: detect and prevent fraud, abuse and breaches of our Terms of Service and House Rules.
- To improve: study how the service is used so we can fix bugs and build new features.
- To meet the law: fulfil legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect the rights, property and safety of our users and the public.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information as long as we need it to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
- While your account is active, we keep your information.
- When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable time, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Public content that others have viewed or interacted with may be kept in anonymised form after your account is deleted.
- Some records may be kept longer to meet legal, tax or regulatory requirements.
Keeping it safe
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, change, disclosure or destruction, including:
- encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest;
- regular security reviews and vulnerability testing;
- access controls and authentication;
- secure storage on industry-standard infrastructure;
- data protection training for our staff.
No way of sending or storing data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Use a strong password you do not use anywhere else, and be careful about what personal information you share.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- See a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- Delete your personal data, subject to some legal exceptions;
- Take it with you in a machine-readable format for another service;
- Opt out of marketing messages at any time, through the unsubscribe link in our emails or your notification settings;
- Limit how we use your data in certain situations.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within a reasonable time and in line with the law that applies to you.
Under-18s
AnonSpin is not meant for anyone under 18, or under the minimum age where you live if that is higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone below that age.
If we find out we have collected information from someone under the minimum age by mistake, we will delete it as quickly as we can. If you think a minor has given us personal information, tell us at [email protected].
Other services
AnonSpin may link to websites, services or apps we do not run, and this policy does not cover them. We also work with outside services for things like:
- signing in and sharing with social accounts;
- processing payments;
- analytics and performance monitoring;
- hosting and delivering content;
- customer support tools.
Each of these has its own privacy policy and way of handling data, and we recommend reading them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, technology or legal requirements change. When we make an important change, we will:
- update the “Last changed” date at the top of this page;
- let you know in the service or by email if the change is significant;
- give you a chance to read the new version before it takes effect.
Please check this page now and then. If you keep using AnonSpin after a change, you accept the updated policy.
